Performance Health

Performance Health & Longevity Optimization

At Forum Health Las Colinas, our Performance Health Program is for people who want to understand how their body performs, not just whether they’re sick.

In a focused one-hour evaluation, we measure the things that drive your energy, fitness, and metabolism, then translate those numbers into a clear picture of where you stand and a plan to improve.

It’s a natural next step for patients who’ve already started working with us and want to go deeper. And it works just as well as a standalone starting point for anyone ready to take a more proactive approach to their health.

Why Many People Still Feel Off When Their Labs Are “Within Range”

Traditional healthcare focuses on diagnosing disease. But many people experience fatigue, weight gain, poor recovery, or declining performance long before a disease diagnosis ever appears.

Performance Health takes a different approach. Instead of waiting for illness to develop, we measure how your body is functioning today and use that data to optimize your performance while supporting long-term health.

Performance Health for Men

If you’re training as hard as ever but not seeing the same results—or your energy, strength, or stamina isn’t what it used to be despite doing everything “right”—Performance Health gives you the data to understand why. Instead of guessing, we measure how your body is actually performing and build a plan to get it back on track.

This may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel your energy, drive, or stamina isn’t what it used to be
  • Are gaining weight around the middle or losing muscle despite the same routine
  • Want to protect your heart, metabolism, and strength for the long haul
  • Train regularly but want real numbers to measure your progress against

Your evaluation takes about an hour and centers on three key measurements, explained below.

Performance Health for Women

Your metabolism, energy, and body composition can shift in ways that are hard to explain—especially through perimenopause and menopause—even when you’re eating well and staying active. Performance Health replaces guesswork with real data, so you can understand what’s changed and build a plan that actually fits your body.

This may be a good fit if you:

  • Notice your energy or metabolism has changed with hormonal shifts
  • Feel your weight won’t budge despite eating well and exercising
  • Want to preserve muscle, strength, and bone as you age
  • Want clear data about your body instead of trial and error

Your evaluation takes about an hour and centers on three key measurements, explained below.

What We Measure in Your Performance Health Evaluation

Your one-hour evaluation centers on three measurements that reveal how your body is performing right now. Together, they give our clinicians an objective baseline to build from and a way to track real progress over time.

VO₂ Max – Your Cardiovascular Fitness Score. VO₂ max measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during exercise. It’s one of the most reliable indicators of cardiovascular fitness and endurance, and research consistently links it to long-term health and longevity. A higher VO₂ max means your heart, lungs, and muscles are working together more efficiently. Measuring it gives us a clear number to improve—and to watch climb as your fitness grows.

InBody scanInBody Body Composition Analysis – What Your Weight Is Actually Made Of. An InBody scan goes far beyond the number on a scale. In under a minute, it breaks your body down into muscle mass, body fat, and body water, and shows how each is distributed. This tells us whether a change in your weight is coming from muscle or fat, reveals progress the scale alone can hide, and highlights imbalances that affect your metabolism and strength.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) – How Many Calories Your Body Burns at Rest. Your resting metabolic rate is the number of calories your body burns simply to keep you alive at rest—powering your breathing, circulation, and basic cell function. It accounts for the majority of the calories you burn each day. By measuring your RMR directly instead of estimating it, we can make your nutrition and weight goals far more precise and personalized to how your body actually works.

This data allows our clinicians to design a program tailored to your physiology and your goals.
