Meet Dr. Brad Silver: A Physician Committed to Improving Your Health and Quality of Life

Dr. Brad Silver is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over 15 years of experience caring for patients at one of the nation’s busiest Level 1 trauma centers. Known for his calm presence, diagnostic expertise, and genuine compassion, he is dedicated to helping you understand your health, feel heard, and receive the personalized care you deserve.
During his years in emergency medicine, Dr. Silver saw firsthand how often people with chronic issues—fatigue, hormonal changes, low energy, weight gain, and more—without ever receiving the root-cause support they need. He wanted to move into a model of medicine where time, connection, and deeper investigation were at the center of care. This led him to join Forum Health Las Colinas.
Transition to Functional Medicine
In the emergency department, Dr. Silver frequently met patients during the most stressful moments of their lives. Although he valued the work, the pace of the ER rarely allowed for the in-depth conversations needed to uncover the underlying causes of ongoing health concerns.
Dr. Silver recognized that many people minimize symptoms or delay seeking help until problems become severe. He wanted the opportunity to listen fully, explore the “why” behind symptoms, and help men and women navigate hormonal, metabolic, lifestyle, and performance factors that influence their long-term well-being.
Today, he provides comprehensive care for those seeking to improve their hormones, metabolism, sexual health, mental clarity, and energy. His approach centers on time, attention, and a true partnership with each patient.
Training and Expertise
Dr. Silver earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by an Emergency Medicine internship and residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Health. His clinical background includes advanced cardiovascular evaluation, EKG interpretation, trauma care, and complex diagnostics, as well as thousands of procedures performed throughout his ER career.
He is a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. This broad experience allows him to identify patterns, understand underlying imbalances, and create personalized, data-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals.
Commitment to Patient Care
Dr. Silver believes that good medicine begins with listening. He values trust, transparency, and open dialogue, especially for those who may find it difficult to discuss concerns related to sexual health, hormones, mood, or energy.
He creates a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing what’s really going on. Known for his clear communication and approachable style, Dr. Silver helps you feel informed, empowered, and confident in your health journey.
Personal Life
Dr. Silver lives in Dallas with his wife and their children. He enjoys coaching youth sports, exploring health and fitness technology, and spending time with his family. He is passionate about helping people live healthier, stronger, more energetic lives—both for themselves and the ones they care about.
“When you come to see me, my job is to look at your whole health. Most doctors focus on one area, but functional medicine lets us dig deeper and connect the dots between all the issues you may be dealing with. If you’ve seen other providers and your problems still aren’t getting resolved, that’s exactly when I can help. Whether you want to improve your weight, energy, hormones, or overall performance, we have tools to support your goals. Ultimately, I want to help you live as long, as healthy, and as happy as possible.” – Dr. Brad Silver
